On June 23, 2006, a jury found Rashaun "Smoke" Jones guilty of conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute heroin and cocaine base. Before trial the district court, on recommendation of the magistrate judge, denied Jones's motion to suppress certain evidence seized from his hotel suite. Jones claims error in this denial.
